Swimologists 2017

“You may study all the '-ologies' of the world, but if you do not learn swimology, all your studies are useless.” – Author Unknown

As a family business with five generations involved, we are really passionate about swimming and the enormous benefits it gives babies, children and the family as a whole; it's the one activity you can really enjoy together as a family! We are also very proud of our products and how they help to give confidence and assurance to young learners (and parents) while they are learning this all-important life skill.

We also love reading family and parenting blogs; after all, they are a way of getting right into the heart of our target audience. We have been reading them for years and working with bloggers for a long time. That is why in 2014 we decided to launch our Swimologists programme – a way of working on a long-term partnership with some of our favourite parenting bloggers. We believe that it's a way for our audience to see how 'real-life' mums and dads engage with our products during their own swimming journey – through the good and the sometime grumpy moments!

And, such has been the success of our Swimology Ambassador programme, we are doing it all again this year with ten new parenting bloggers!

To kickstart 2017, we focused on baby swimming. You can see our new Baby Swimologists and their gorgeous children putting our Konfidence products to the test while attending baby swimming classes at their local swim schools. We can't wait to see how they get on as they embark on their swimming journeys. We'd also like to take a moment to thank the swim schools who have joined us – thank you to Puddle Ducks, Mini Swimming, Turtle Tots, Splash Babies and EMSA Babies.

During the summer, it's all about the "Summer of the Swim Jacket". Our aim is to promote the benefits of The Original Konfidence Swim Jacket to parents going away on holiday this summer to the beach or the pool with their children. Our fab five Child Swimologists will be road-testing our learn to swim products in a fun, friendly environment at Alton Towers Resort's Splash Landings Waterpark and while on their own travels this summer.

So, without further ado, here is a little introduction to all of our lovely 2017 Swimologists...

Baby Swimologists

Lamb & Bear

Alex is a stay at home mum and works on her blog around her children. She is proud to also design and run her own children's clothing brand. Her beautiful blog is called Lamb & Bear, where Alex talks about her life as a mum to her two beautiful boys – Lamb, who is 3 years, and Bear, who is 7 months. Bear is already enrolled into swimming lessons with Mini Swimming, so we can't wait to see how he progresses through another term.

The Oliver's Madhouse

Jaime is no stranger to the Swimologists programme, having taken part with her son Joshua back in in 2014. Now with Jacob, her gorgeous new baby boy, Jaime is going to embark on her first swimming journey with him, and we can’t wait to read and hear all about it! Jaime's multi-award nominated family parenting and baby blog The Oliver's Madhouse is such a joy to read; she shares wonderful real-life stories about all the adventures she has with her family and children.

Tattooed Tealady

We are delighted to welcome Sophia from Tattooed Tealady to our 2017 lineup, who recently became a mum to a beautiful daughter Willow. Tattooed Tealady is a hugely popular beauty blog, but since the birth of Willow Sophia has expanded its range to document her life as a first-time mum and speak honestly about all manner of parenting topics. Sophia is passionate about baby swimming, so we really look forward to hearing about her journey with Splash Babies.

Potty Adventures

Potty Adventures

Our Swimologists programme wouldn't be complete without a dad blogger, and this year we are thrilled to have David from Potty Adventures on board. David is married to his childhood sweetheart and they have two gorgeous children aged 3 and 1 years old. David is also a full-time teacher, but outside of the working week he loves to document all the adventures he shares with his family at Potty Adventures – and they are amazing! We can't wait to see how David gets on with baby swimming at Turtle Tots with his youngest daughter Amelia.

Emily and Indiana

Emily is a young mummy to two beautiful children, Indiana and Parker. She loves exploring, having adventures, and is known to indulge in a bit of shopping! She first started vlogging on her YouTube channel to document and capture all different aspects of their family life. To complement this she started her blog Emily and Indiana, where she writes amazing posts about her family life and the adventures they share. The next adventure is baby swimming for Emily's youngest son Parker, and we can't wait to see how they get on being Konfidence Swimologists.

Child Swimologists

Plutonium Sox

Plutonium Sox is a family, travel and lifestyle blog. Natalie and her daughters Libby and Lia all love being outdoors. The whole family is very active, and swimming has always been a big part of their lives. They are already huge fans of Konfidence products and look forward to trying out some more this year.

Raising the Rings

Jade from Raising the Rings is a West Norfolk mum to two beautiful boys, Toby and Teddy. Here's what she says about the blog: "We love to get outdoors, do puzzles and bake. I first started blogging after I had Toby, but have recently delved (ever so slightly) into the world of vlogging. I want to share our moments, adventures and life with people to both inspire and be inspired. Toby and Teddy are both huge water babies and love getting wet, especially in the garden in the summer!"

The DADventurer

Dave is a blogger, vlogger, podcaster and stay-at-home dad to his 2.5-year-old daughter, Toddler L. Under the alias The DADventurer, Dave shares his experiences, thoughts and random musings about life as a stay-at-home dad in an honest, lighthearted and often excessively sweary way! The pair have been doing swimming lessons with Water Babies for the last two years – Dave can now almost swim 10 metres unaided as a result! The DADventurer is also the #2 UK dad blog.

Hayley's Little Things

Hayley's Little Things logo

Hayley from Hayley's Little Things is a working mum of two – Daisy, who is soon to be 3, and Alex, who is 9 months old. She says: "I document our day-to-day loves over on our blog and share our adventures and travels. Both babies have been swimming since they were just 8 weeks old and love the water." Hayley is really passionate about getting children swimming from an early age and ensuring that they feel safe in the water. "It is one activity that I love to do not only for fun, but for ensuring that they gain the life skills needed to be safe in and around water," she adds.

Budding Smiles

Hannah is happily married to Phil and proud mum to Toby and Martha. A blogger at Budding Smiles since 2014, Hannah writes about family life and adventures alongside also running her own parent, baby and toddler shop. Hannah is a rock music lover, a Spurs fan, a country bumpkin and a keen traveller who wants to show Toby and Martha all of the amazing things the world has to offer.
