For a third year in a row, we are encouraging youngsters under 8 to show off their creative talents at the beach with the 2018 Golden Bucket Sand Art Competition – and because it’s our 20th anniversary, we’ve upped the golden winner’s prize package!

This fun summer-long competition offers a great chance to spark your child's imagination and create some exciting beach-themed sand art designs. It's also a great opportunity for kids to get their big brother, dad or grandad involved, too – for art purposes, of course!

There's also the incentive of being able to win a bucketful of prizes!

Not only will the overall winner of the best sand art design win the coveted "Golden" Bucket and Spade trophy*, but they will also receive a selection of top prizes from Konfidence and our travel friends at Mark Warner and Trunki.  For 2018, we’ve also welcomed a fellow Cornish partner on board - the Polurrian Bay Hotel (part of the Luxury Family Hotel group) - making this year’s winner’s prize package the biggest yet!

Two runners-up will win Silver and Bronze Bucket and Spade trophies*. All entrants will feature in our Golden Bucket gallery, plus ALL entrants who send us their names and addresses will receive a limited edition Golden Bucket Sand Art exhibitors metal badge.

Launching on 1st July 2018, the 12-week competition is being sponsored for a third-year by The Original Konfidence Swim Jacket from Konfidence.

During the 3-month campaign, Konfidence will also be donating money from sales of the Original Konfidence Jacket to Cornwall Air Ambulance. Should you want to donate as well, you are able to in your shopping basket once you have chosen a product.

How to Enter

It couldn't be easier to enter the Golden Bucket Sand Art Competition – simply take a photo of your sand art and upload it to the Konfidence Facebook page at KonfidenceUK, along with a title (be creative!) and the hashtag #goldenbucket18. Entries open on 1st July 201 and close on 30th September 2018.

1st Prize

The overall winner of the competition will win the following prizes:

Terms and Conditions

The promoter of the competition is Konfidence Limited, 27B Pennygillam Way, Launceston, Cornwall PL15 7ED ("Konfidence").

The competition is open to all children 8 years of age or under as at 30th September 2018. Employees or agents of Konfidence, or anyone else connected to the competition and/or their immediate family, may not enter.

Only one entry per person is allowed, unless otherwise stated. Only entries made via Facebook will be accepted. Unless otherwise noted on the competition page, no purchase is necessary to enter the competition. Entrants are responsible for the cost of their connection to the competition page via the Internet.

Konfidence does not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted or secure access to the competition page or website. Konfidence does not accept responsibility for lost, damaged, invalid or illegible entries.

All entries must be received no later than 23:59 British Summer Time (BST) on the 30th September 2018 ("End Date") to be eligible for selection.

The winning entries will be selected by a panel of judges within 3 weeks of the End Date. The panel's decision is final.

Winners will receive confirmation via email on or before the announcement date shown on the Konfidence Facebook page. Winners must reply by the ‘Reply required by date’ shown on the competition page, or risk forfeiting the prize. Konfidence reserves the right to select another prize winner if a reply is not received in time, and Konfidence shall have no liability to previously selected prize winners who have not replied in time.

Winner name(s) will be displayed on the event page for at least thirty (30) days after the prize(s) have been awarded.

The final winners will agree to be photographed with their trophy and agree for their story to be publically shared by Konfidence.  The final winners must also like / follow Konfidence, Trunki, Mark Warner and Polurrian Bay Hotel official Facebook pages

All prizes are non-transferable, with specific terms here from Mark Warner and The Polurrian Hotel:

  • The £200 Mark Warner voucher must be redeemed by 1st April 2019.
  • The overnight stay at The Polurrian Bay Hotel, Mullion, Cornwall must be taken by 1st July 2019. The prize is a one night stay for 2 adults and up to 2 children under the age of 16 years. This offer is based on a large room with the family sharing, if a family room is available closer to the booking a complimentary upgrade will apply. The stay is subject to availability and excludes Christmas, New Year, School Holidays and Bank Holiday weekends. The prize includes bed & breakfast plus a dinner for 2 adults (an allocation up to the value of £28 per adult) & for two children (an allocation up to the value of £10.50 per child). The prize is subject to availability at the time of booking and is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. The winner of the 1 night stay at Polurrian Bay Hotel agrees for their story to be publically shared on Polurrian Bay Hotel's and Luxury Family Hotel's social media pages. Post event publicity would be with the winner’s permission and may include names, ages, home town and photographs. Employees of the Luxury Family Hotel group and their immediate families may not enter the competition.


No cash alternative is available for any prize. In the unlikely event that a prize should become unavailable, Konfidence reserves the right to substitute a prize which it reasonably determines as being of equal value.

Konfidence reserves the right to cancel or terminate the competition, or disqualify any participant at any time, without giving advance notice, and will do so if it cannot be guaranteed that the competition can be carried out correctly for technical or legal reasons, or if Konfidence suspects that any person has been manipulating the administration of the competition or acting unethically in any other way.

Use of personal information; post-event publicity: To enter the competition, we may ask you to register your personal details with us. Your registered details will only be used in accordance with Konfidence’s current published Privacy Policy. If you are only asked to provide an email address to enter, then your personal information will only be used by Konfidence, its agents and their related companies to administer the promotion, to select the winner or winners (if more than one), and to arrange delivery of the prize(s). You will only receive marketing from Konfidence if you give us your permission (you may already have done this if you have registered with us previously).

Each entrant agrees that if he or she wins a prize, Konfidence will have the right, without additional payment or permission, to use their name, age and town/city for the purposes of announcing the winner(s), and they may be requested (by Konfidence, its agents and their related companies) to participate in post-event publicity.
