KONFIDENCE’S DOUBLE-LAYER ECO SWIM NAPPY IS A DOUBLE-WINNER AT THE ORG

The Konfidence team are celebrating after its eco-friendly Splashy™ Swim Nappy was named as the winner of not one but TWO awards at the 2022 Organic Baby Awards, including Gold for Best Swim Nappy and Silver for Best Eco-Friendly Innovation.

This year, the Organic Baby awards celebrated environmentally-friendly baby brands in over 100 categories, from baby wipes to wooden toys and weaning foods, which were all judged fairly and transparently by real parents.

One of these categories is Baby Changing and Skincare, from which Konfidence scooped two awards – Gold for Best Swim Nappy and Silver for Best Eco-Friendly Innovation for the Splashy™ Swim Nappy, which is uniquely constructed using Konfidence’s own e-Flex™ material as an eco-friendly and innovative alternative to neoprene.

Traditionally, baby swimwear products like swim nappies and baby wetsuits have been made from neoprene, but it is an oil based, non-recyclable material. Konfidence are leading the way by being the first baby swimwear manufacturer to find and create an eco-alternative material with e-Flex™, and move away from ‘old-fashioned’ neoprene in their baby swimwear designs.

e-Flex™, which combines nylon, soft-plush polyester and recycled plastic, replicates many of the characteristics of neoprene; and is lighter, more flexible, has a lovely soft plush lining for comfort, and offers all the same 50+ UV sun protection properties on covered areas.
