Turtle Tots Launch Exclusive Konfidence AquaNappy

UK-wide swim school Turtle Tots have further strengthened their partnership with Konfidence, the multi-award-winning designers and manufacturers of protective swimwear for babies and infants, by commissioning their own exclusive AquaNappy design.

The bespoke design, which complements Turtle Tots' already popular branded Konfidence swim range, has been launched this month to encourage parents to put their babies in reusable nappies when visiting a swimming pool.

Caroline Sparks, Commercial Director of Bristol-based Turtle Tots, the first swim school to commission and launch their own reusable swim nappy, said that the new one-size-fits-all AquaNappy would complement the swim school's branded Konfidence nappy cover.

Designed by Konfidence in partnership with swim schools and parents, the AquaNappy features a unique triple-layered design with elasticated leg openings. It has a durable polycotton outer, a recycled plastic middle barrier layer and a soft protective inner that sits next to the baby's skin. The addition of adjustable Velcro sash and poppers offers a one-size options for babies aged from 3 to 30 months.

It is a more environmentally-friendly option for parents, as well as a cost-effective solution compared with buying disposable nappies, said Caroline.

"We insist that babies and toddlers wear a double nappy system when they come to our swimming lessons to minimise the risk of accidents in the pool, so introducing an AquaNappy to complement our existing NeoNappy was the obvious product to offer in our range," she explained.

"We've had incredible feedback on our existing Konfidence collection from parents, so we are sure that they will also love a superior quality reusable nappy that can be used for many years."

Konfidence teamed up with Turtle Tots, who have 30 licensees across the UK, just under a year ago to launch the swim school's own branded swimwear, based on the award-winning company's premium designs.

The range comprises two styles of Konfidence's best-selling Babywarma neoprene baby swimsuit, the Neonappy neoprene swim cover and a chlorine-resistant changing mat, all in green, blue and pink, and featuring the colourful Turtle Tots branding. Branded hand floats and swim bags are also included in the range.

One parent has already commented on social media about the AquaNappy launch, saying: "Great news -- so pleased Turtle Tots are encouraging reusable swim nappies; the disposables are used for such a short time and work out so much more expensive. It's a cute design, too."
