If you're taking the family off somewhere for a relaxing holiday in the sun this summer, make the most of the chance to enjoy the water. Whether you're heading to the pool or planning a few days on the beach, it is the perfect opportunity to get your baby used to swimming. This is exactly Peter Andre's thinking, it would seem, as he enjoyed a splash around with his baby daughter.

The singer posted a picture to Twitter on Monday (August 11th) showing him and his new baby daughter Amelia enjoying the pool while on holiday. Peter hugged the eight-month-old close to him and she seemed to be happy having a bit of a splash about in the super cute picture.

On holiday in Africa with his fiancée and daughter, it looked as though Peter was also happy to have a cool down and enjoy some bonding time with his little girl.

If you are going to follow in Peter's steps and take your baby in the water while on holiday, there are some simple steps you should take to ensure that it is enjoyable for both of you.

One of the main things to take into account is to avoid pools or stretches of beaches that are being used by a lot of people at any one time. This is especially the case if there are lots of children. You want to make the experience as relaxing as possible for your little one, and a lot of people shouting and splashing doesn't do that.

Even if you are in a hot country, it is important to remember that your baby is likely to get cold if you stay in the water too long. This is because babies are unable to properly regulate their body temperatures.

To make sure your little one stays comfortable, you should keep an eye out for signs they are getting cold. You could also dress them in a Konfidence Babywarma, which helps babies aged between 0 and 24 months stay happy and warm in the water for longer periods of time.

You also need to protect against any possible accidents that could ruin the water fun for everyone else. To do this, ensure you have a suitable nappy to be used in the pool or on the beach. The Konfidence AquaNappy provides hygienic protection that is easy to use – simply pop it on, use the Velcro sash and poppers to size it, and your baby is good to go.
