Christmas came early to Konfidence HQ this week following the news that we’d won TWO GOLDs at the 2012-2013 Practical Parenting Awards (Whoohoo!).

· The Original Konfidence Buoyancy Jacket achieved Gold in the ‘Safety Product’ category.

KONFIDENCE CELEBRATE A HAT TRICK AT
2011-2012 MOTHER AND BABY AWARDS

Konfidence is riding high after securing two Golds and a Bronze award at the prestigious 2011-2012 Mother & Baby Awards - the "Oscars" of the baby products industry.

Andrew Regan, founder of Konfidence, described the achievement as the "icing on the cake" in a year that has seen the company already earn several top award winning prizes for its premium swimwear and accessories for babies and children.

As first time entrants in this year's Mother & Baby Awards, Konfidence was thrilled to beat off stiff competition and scoop Gold in the Best Safety Product 2011-2012 category for its best-selling Babywarma® wetsuit.

The 100 per cent UV protective wetsuit is made from a flexible 2mm-thick soft neoprene, which helps to keep babies warmer in the swimming pool for much longer than would be possible without it. The material also enables parents to hold their baby more easily as compared to bare skin

The judges in the Mother & Baby Awards agreed that these key safety concerns, which also include clever design techniques that ensure a snug, "huggable" fit, for maximum safety, comfort and performance, merited the highest marks in this safety category.

In its citation, the judges in the Mother & Baby Awards said: "Our readers gave the thumbs up to this warming baby wetsuit, great for keeping the chills at bay."

Konfidence's new UV-PBT Sun Protection Suit also earned a Bronze Award in this same Best Safety Product 2011-2012 category.

In a double whammy later on in the evening, Konfidence achieved another coveted Gold for its multi-use Roll & Go Changing Mat in the Best Travel Product 2011-2012 category.

Perfect for the swimming pool or when you are on the go, Konfidence's new lightweight changing mat is made from 3mm thick chlorine-resistant neoprene cushioned foam, which provides a firm grip on wet surfaces.

What makes the Mother & Baby Awards particularly special is that the judges are parents who are asked to test the products, explained Andrew.
